Optibus-DR11 is a high-speed, fiber-optic module used to extend the DR11-W interface. Optibus-DR11 transfers data over distances up to 2 km atrates up to 1.5 MB per second. It connects to a DR11-W or DRV11-WAparallel interface. These interfaces are available for a variety ofdifferent buses.Within the Optibus-DR11, data is buffered, making it unnecessary forhand-shake signals to propagate over the fiber. This makes it possible totransfer at rates as high as 1.5 MB per second regardless of distance (upto 2 km maximum).Optibus-DR11 is user-transparent. It requires no system modification whenused to extend the DR11-W interface.
